DAY 01: ISTANBUL
Tour starts in Istanbul, Turkey. Upon arrival in Istanbul, you will check in at the hotel. After settling in, we will hold a brief meeting to discuss the program, where you can meet fellow travelers and share your excitement for the journey ahead.
DAY 02: ISTANBUL
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a sightseeing tour of Istanbul. Visit iconic landmarks such as the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar. Return to the hotel for refreshing. In the evening, we will have a delightful group dinner at a local restaurant, experiencing the rich flavors of Turkish cuisine.
DAY 03: ÇANAKKALE
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to Troas, where you will learn about Paul’s Macedonian vision and coastal travels as described in Acts 16 and 20. Explore the ancient ruins and enjoy the stunning coastal views. Later, check in at your accommodation in Çanakkale and enjoy a group dinner at the hotel or a nearby restaurant.
DAY 04: IZMIR
Following breakfast and hotel check-out, we will travel to Pergamon, a city rich in Greco-Roman history. Explore the ancient Acropolis and the Asclepius Temple. Next, we will head to Smyrna (modern-day Izmir), where you can learn about its religious significance. Afterward, check in at your hotel in Izmir and enjoy a group dinner at a local restaurant.
DAY 05: EPHESUS
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to Ephesus, a central hub for Paul’s ministry as highlighted in Acts 19. Explore the ancient ruins, including the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre. After a day of exploration, check in at your hotel in Izmir and gather for a group dinner at the accommodation or a local restaurant.
DAY 06: MILETUS
Enjoy breakfast before checking out of the hotel. We will visit Miletus, where Paul bid farewell to the Ephesian elders (Acts 20). Learn about the significance of this site and its connection to Paul’s journey. Afterward, check in at your hotel in Miletus and enjoy a group dinner.
DAY 07: THESSALONIKI
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we will head to Izmir Airport for a flight to Thessaloniki. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, we will gather for a group dinner at a local restaurant or at the hotel.
DAY 08: KALAMBA
Today, explore Thessaloniki, visiting the agora where Paul preached, the House of Jason, and the St. Demetrius Basilica. Next, we will travel to Berea, where Paul and Silas preached at the synagogue. Visit St. Paul's Bema, where he preached in 54 AD. Overnight accommodations will be in Kalambaka.
DAY 9: ATHENS
This morning, we will explore the stunning Meteora Monasteries, famous for their breathtaking architecture atop towering rock formations. After our visit, we will continue to Athens for an overnight stay.
DAY 10: ATHENS
Visit the ancient Acropolis, where you will see the Propylaea, the Parthenon, and the Erectheum. Explore Mars Hill, where Paul preached to the Athenians (Acts 17:15-34). Continue to Corinth, where you will visit the Archaeological Museum, the Market Place, and the Bema. Read Paul's letter to the Corinthians and visualize his address to the Gentiles. Return to Athens for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 11: VALLETTA
Enjoy a leisurely day in Athens, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. In the afternoon, we will fly to Malta. Upon arrival in Valletta, meet your guide and driver before checking in at your hotel. The evening is free for relaxation or exploration, followed by dinner at the hotel.
DAY 12: VALLETTA
This morning, visit St. Paul’s Bay, traditionally regarded as the site of St. Paul’s shipwreck on Malta (Acts 27:27-28). Explore St. Paul’s Island and see the commemorative statue. In the afternoon, visit Rabat, home to St. Paul’s Grotto, where he is believed to have taken refuge. Return to Valletta for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 13: VALLETTA
Travel to Medina, the ancient walled city of Malta, and visit St. Paul’s Catacombs, an important early Christian burial site. Next, explore St. John’s Co-Cathedral, known for its artistic treasures. Visit the Grand Master’s Palace, highlighting Malta’s Christian heritage. Return to Valletta for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 14: DEPARTURE
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and prepare for your departure. Reflect on the incredible journey in the footsteps of St. Paul as you head to the airport for your flight home.In the morning you will have free time and then head home.
